Though the debutant director tried very hard it was difficult to understand who was Ugly and who was Pagli in this new movie. The movie was funny in bits and pieces but overall impact was that of a randomly made/edited movie. Ranvir Shorey was good as usual, he was better than Rahul Bose in ‘feeling uncomfortable’ and also in ‘looking like a goof’. The characters Kuhoo and Kabir were not seen on the screen for the first time. The sequences where Kabir heard and read Kuhoo’s scripts were well executed and were outright funny but the director was not able to put the whole movie together.
Ranvir was funny while he drove the bicycle, he was awkward when he danced and Mallika was not bad either. Music of the movie is good and Main Tully Ho Gayi and Shut Up are topping the charts.
It’s an average movie with good leads.
hey nicely summarized review, actually this movie did atleast some good part on box office just because of ranvir shory, otherwise it would have been a big flop.
It would be nice if it didn’t take a director like Danny Boyle for Bollywood movies to make it to the States.
